for complex three-dimensional shapes
Forming process hydroforming

In comparison to conventional processes the shaping options are significantly extended with hydroforming. The inventive contrast to conventional technologies is the fluid forming instead of the use of a punch. Tool cost savings up to 50% clarify the reduction of development time for components. Series production of sophisticated designs can be guaranteed within 4-6 weeks. The market of prototype construction as well as of small-batch production can be operated optimally.

Processible materials:

  • stainless steels, e.g. 304 / 316 / ...
  • aluminium and aluminium alloys
  • steel sheets
  • heat-treatable steels
  • fine-grained steels
  • titanium and titanium alloys
  • nickel and nickel alloys
  • tantalum, zircon, niobium

Advantages:

  • short development and delivery times from CAD-model up to the first sample
  • constant reproducible production quality
  • different material thicknesses are producible on the same tooling
  • excellent surface qualities due to unilateral tooling contact
  • constant wall thickness progression over the cross section of the part
  • high dimensional accuracy due to low stress and spring back

Production possibilities:

  • table dimension up to 1300 x 2000 mm
  • draft depth up to 600 mm
